Hoping to discover a Morzine Chalet? Last season we found one on the banks of a great lake really near to the ski lift. out of the window of the Chalet you can see a beautiful lake (lac de montriond) and it was really easy to get on the slopes as the ski bus picks you up from the door. Inside the comfortable chalet you can find a cosy wood burner and lots of comfy sofas.
We had planned to go out every night but ended up staying in the chalet watching DVDs They also had alot of films there we also found ourselves strangely addicted to jenga too.
The chill out room was massive, With loads of comfy settees and chairs to relax after a day skiing and the beds were so snug that i slept like a baby.
We cooked our own dinner every night, in the well equipped kitchen, but on two night we did eat out at some lovely restaurants.
There were 8 people in our group and all of us agreed that it was the best ski holiday we have had - and we should know we always go to Morzine Chalets.
We picked this Morzine chalet online and luckily the week we wanted to go was the only week they had available. It is obviously popular as we booked in the August before the winter season!!
Morzine Chalet du lac is definitely a turn up for the books. All these years we have hired pretty boring chalets with no character: morzine chalet with not enough room to swing a cat and a long hike to the ski liftstNot this year!
to explain the Morzine Chalet...Think chocolate box alpine chalet with wooden fretwork, roaring fires and wooden beams.
Add in halogen lighting, flat screen TVs and modern artwork and you get chalet du lac - the perfect getaway from it all.
The owners have obviously though of every need as the chalet was better equipped than our house Lots of DVD's and books, with great little nooks to sit in and admire the views of the mountains and lake found right out side on the door step
We had some friends join us for dinner at the morzine chalet, We had to persuade them to leave after they wanted to set up home in there!.
they were sickened when they found out how cheap the place was to hire.I really should not be posting this as then others may find out about this awesome little chalet!

Diving on your gap year
Become a Gap year diver how to choose the right gap year diving course for you.
Selecting a Gap year diving programme is possibly the greatest fun you can have on yougap year.
Many options are open to you if you wanted to becomea gap year diver and many gap year diving destinations to pick from.
So how do you decide where to go and what to do? There are many options that you can consider before going with a gap year company to help select a diving course.
First off you need to pick what agency you want to learn to learn with.
To clarify there are a couple of different training organisations that run courses. The main ones are PADI and SSI although other diving organisations like BSAC are popular also. These training body's all have similar standards so do not worry too much about the course sylabus.
To clarify the "agency" is not the same as the dive shop or dive school, as some can train people in lots of different agencies certifications. The most well known agency out there PADI.
Next you need to decide where you want to go to do your dive training. The world is a huge place with millions of unique and exciting destinations to pick from, some places have their positive aspects over others, so considerations such as price and interests of the individual will play a role.
Wanting to just get your open water on your gap year and learn to dive then, you perhaps just pick to do this where ever is easiest along the way, just be sure to factor in ample time (4 days) to do your course and be sure you are not in a planewithin 24 hours of diving, so be careful with the itinerary.
Want to spend longer perfecting your diving, then you should consider doing the Divemaster course. The Divemaster course is the most often selectedgap year diver course for significant reason. No other gap year diving programme incorporating so much dive time inclusive of the costs.
Some places are cheaper than others with Thailandrepresenting best value out of all placesto do your Divemaster, specifically the (Koh Tao Divemaster ),This does not necessarily make it the most popular, but it is still excellent.
Diving in Thailand is really popular and because of this, the marine life can suffer as a consequence, it is possible that you will see more marine life elsewhereDivemaster in the Philippines, however this is a little more expensive. It is also possible to do a divemaster course in Australia, but it is more expensive than on Asia gap year.
Want to compete your divemaster in Africa; this is a great option if you like shark diving, but bewared you can easily come up against tiger sharks and hammerheads.
Whilst this is not dangerous if you know what to expect, it can make you panic if you are not prepared to see them! A softer way of seeing great white sharks is to go shark cage diving in South Africa
Xtreme Gap Year promotes a selection ofGap year diver programmes and they are all professional divers in the office, capable of explaining all you need to know before you set out.. So if you are considering a gap year involving diving, give them a call.
